Itinerary
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative from Siyaha Travels (Pvt) Limited and transferred to Negombo.
In the evening, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Ma Oya River, surrounded by lush greenery and swaying palm groves. Later, embark on a city tour of Negombo, visiting the vibrant fishing village, the historic Old Dutch Fortress from 1678 (now a prison), the Hamilton Canal—once used by the Dutch for cinnamon transportation—St. Mary’s Church, the Old Dutch Cemetery, and the bustling Negombo Fish Market.

Start trekking to the “Saradiel Rock” – This is a medium size mountain on top of which you have a point from which you can see the surrounding area and the main road for a long distance. Saradiel , local version of Robin Hood used to see the approaching Horse carriages during the 19th century which were taking the mail and the money to plantation areas in up country from this point and used to loot them as they approached and distribute the money to the poor people. He was later killed by the Police and there is a monument closer to this place.
In the evening visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.

After breakfast transfer to the Railway Station to travel by train to Idalgashinna.
Start mountain trekking through Tea Plantations, Jungles, grasslands and a patch of rainforest etc to reach Colombo – Badulla highway and pickup transfer by vehicle.

After breakfast leave for a Hike to visit the Lamp Flame Waterfalls.
Leave for Uva Kuda Oya ,Deep down in the south , in the dry zone in close proximity to the elephant infested jungles lies the village hamlet of Uva Kuda Oya .Travelling a short distance after turning off from the Wellawaya –Tissamaharama Highway to the interior , we reach the Farm Land within which is located the Cottage Site. A small scale village tank and a long line of Paddy Fields forms one boundary for this land situated within the arid zone of Sri Lanka.

After breakfast leave for Ratnapura – “The City of Gems”
En route undertake a Jeep Safari of the Uda Walawe National Park mainly to see wild elephants and the Elephant Transit Home where babies are being looked after to be subsequently sent back in to the jungles .
In Ratnapura visit the places of interest of the Gem Industry in Sri Lanka including Gem Mines to get an insight in to this important segment of the local economy.

After breakfast transfer to the starting point for Canoeing.Start Canoeing down Kalu Ganga, one of the four major rivers in Sri Lanka, apart from the activity enjoy seeing lots of life style of locals.
